31 Aug Autumn Air
I felt it today – the first smell of Autumn. The freshness of the air and the promise of crunching leaves, warm fires and long walks in the cool bright sun.
I’m hugely grateful for the incredible summer we’ve had this year but Autumn is perennially my favourite season. TV dramas take a big step up as people retreat to their cosy sofas of an evening (yarn and needles beavering away), pubs close up their beer gardens opting for warm fires and roasts, we swap our bikinis for warm knitted beanie hats and a sense of Hygge descends – yes, we Brits do Autumn well.
We’re very excited to enter our second autumn/winter – our launch season last year was such a whirlwind and we had a ball. We’re now prepping wholesale to go out and furiously knitting for shows – our first being The London Artisan at the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane 29th-30 September. Alongside our permanent collection we’ll be featuring some limited collection pieces perfect for that Autumn – Winter transition (like the 100% merino headband pictured). For more details on this event and also the hugely talented designer makers exhibiting there head here.
After the success of our zero-waste, summer workshop pop-up we’re also now looking to make knitting workshops a more permanent fixture, stay tuned for more details to come learn to knit and natter with The Sett.
Welcome to September and have a belting weekend.
